Thank you, Neal, for the invite to the ActiveRain Silver Hall of Fame! This post put me at exactly 100,000 points, just as I departed for Thanksgiving weekend with my family.
A Thanksgiving tradition in my family was inspired by my Dad's two Thanksgivings as a POW in Stalagluft III during World War II. Before dinner, each person at the table names something for which they are grateful - just as the boys did in Stalagluft III.
In anticipation of this, I always begin thinking several days in advance of Thanksgiving about things I might mention when it's my turn. I find myself giving thanks all week, as a result, and not just at dinner on Thursday.
That's probably why I've been thinking a lot about ActiveRain, and how much it enriched my life during the past year.
Thank you to the creators of ActiveRain. I know you have spent many long hours, risked everything you have, and overcome many obstacles along the way to build your business. You can be very proud of what you've created because you made it possible for me and literally thousands of people to develop new friendships, generate new business, and learn answers to questions we didn't even know we had! In return for the value you bring to us, I sincerely hope ActiveRain is profitable for you. And...
Thank you to my ActiveRain friends. You know who you are. You enrich my life every day with your friendship and you teach me more about business than I ever learned from a real estate class or book. I will be thinking about you, this Thanksgiving, as I consider the blessings in my life.
Thank you for helping me achieve 100,000 points with this post. You have read my other posts, encouraged me with your comments, written brilliant posts of your own that inspired my comments, accepted my invitation to join ActiveRain, referred business to me and successfully served people I referred to you. What a gift! It's not really the magic number of "100,000 points" that I celebrate - it's the magic of what they represent. That's YOU. Thanks again!
FYI: I'm going out of town for several days and leaving my computer behind, so please understand if I don't acknowledge or reciprocate your comment 'til next week.

Congratulations on your 100,000 points. We have so much to be thankful for and AR and AR friends are sure on my list. I love the willingness of members to share and help each other.
Margaret-Congratulations! This is a very touching post and not lacking the feel of gratitude whatsoever. I am grateful to you Margaret for you friendship and inspiration here in the rain. What a wonderful time this is to really reflect.
Have a Happy Holiday my friend!
Margaret,
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family...I too wish to thank the Active Rain family!!! Thanks, Fran
congratulations and thank you for your wonderful contributions to the rain!
Congratulations on your milestone. I look forward to tagging along for the next 100,000!!
Thom, thank you! Somehow I managed four days without touching a computer. It's a good reminder that I may be spending too much time online.
Kathy, thank you! 100,000 seemed impossible when I started, but it came with consistently participating in ActiveRain. I guess the next 10,000 will come the same way...
Jesse & Kathy. I appreciate your comment. Right now I'm feeling very braindead, but I know more posts will be coming down the pike.
Hi, Karen Anne - 'Hope you had a good Thanksgiving and had a chance to spend time with your daughter and her pup. Susan met us in North Carolina, along with her brother and his wife, and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Kay - Thank you! Those guys have really touched a lot of people, haven't they?
Lisa - How nice of you to say that. Thank you!
David and Kristin - Thank you! Another 100,000 seems just as far away today as the first 100,000 did in April!
Faina - Yes, it WAS nice to talk the other evening. And I'm glad we were on the same track.
Monika - Thank you, I hope you did, too!
Nicholas - It IS a milestone, although I never saw it as a goal... the points just added up and, after a while, it was fun to watch them accumulate.
Michael - I'll have to watch so I can congratulate you when you make it. That is quite an accomplishment, too!
Desiree - Thanks for being there, for your posts, and your comments, too!
Nestor and Katerina - Thank you! Yes we did... but you had a new grandbaby, too. Now THAT is something to celebrate. 'Glad you've enjoyed my posts - I've certainly enjoyed yours.
Maggie - Thank you, it does seem like yesterday. 'Appreciate your kind words, and I enjoy your posts and comments, as well!
Now, if I can just catch up with acknowledging and reciprocating all the comments that came in while I was out of town...
Copngrats on the BIG 100,000. I will soon be there as well. What a journey!
Thanks so much for reading and commenting on Why I Unsubscribed From Your Blog
Dan - I saw that you're getting close. Congratulations to you, too!
Fran - It is amazing how close we've become on ActiveRain - just think, a year ago, we didn't know each other at all!
Kathy - It was nice to read about your trip to Hawaii on Sally's post. Thanks for commenting on my milestone.
Lisa - Thank you! I do want to thank you, in particular, for showing us the real New Orleans. I know there is much remaining to be done there, but you help us see that life is going on, at least for some people. And I'm grateful for that.
Gita - Thank you, I enjoy yours, too. And one of these days soon, we'll have to talk about Bucks County PA!
Keith, Thank you! Yes, it was nice to spend four days without access to a computer. But now I'm ready to jump back in the saddle!
Sally - Bless you, you enrich my life so much! Thank you for your kind wishes, and for helping me get there. I'm very grateful for your Positive Attitude group, your beautiful photos and posts, and your friendship.
With this, I hope to finally catch up on acknowledging your kind comments and good wishes. Reciprocating is another story, however. That may take a week or two!
Al, now that WOULD be nice! Another metaphor might be to think about dieting like ActiveRain points - if you work at it consistently, results will happen. That's going to be my inspiration going forward.
Missy, Thank you for your good wishes! We did have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
Linda, This really is a team effort. No one achieves 100,000 points without other people on ActiveRain! I'm sure this business model will be studied in the future as a model for other entrepreneurs.
Gary, Thank you! I've learned so much and met so many people - ActiveRain really has enriched my life!
Cynthia - It is interesting to see how willing people are to share their business and success "secrets" with each other. It makes me proud to be part of this industry, and especially ActiveRain.
Kelly, We did have a great Thanksgiving. No family drama, no crises, no health issues - just more happy memories. Thank you for your comment and congratulations!
Julie - Last, but far from least. (as to my catching up with acknowledgements for comments on this post) I'm so glad to count you as one of my new friends. Thanks for your comment and good wishes. I hope yours was a good holiday, as well.
Margaret congrats!!!! You are AWESOME!!!! I hope you had a wonderful holiday! Hope to see you soon. I may be heading your way in a few weeks maybe we could do lunch? Your Posts are Awesome! I love to read them.
