Anne Arundel County Public Schools recently announced that thirty-four county teachers received National Board Certification this year from The National Board of Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS), double the number who achieved this status in 2006.
Ten of the 2007 teachers are in Crofton-area schools, including Odenton and Davidsonville...

Julie, Thank you! For my local posts, I'm trying to include the names of local people as often as possible. Look for more that do this in the coming months.
Gary, Thanks! I think that people who are relocating are eager to read anything they can find about the schools. This seemed like a natural!
Monica, I appreciate your comment - I DO think the quality of teachers in our county is higher than most, and that translates to good schools and successful students.
Great Post Margaret,
I actually had some of those teachers in that list, I myself graduated from Anne Arundel County Schools, and attended Glen Burnie high, some of the other teachers in that list taught at other schools when I was younger, and my brother whom is 6 years younger than me, graduates this year, and has one of the teachers in the list from Old Mill High.
Anne Arundel County schools are some of the best around. Actually a great family friend of our's - Nancy Mann, was the Interim Superintendant of Anne Arundel County Schools this past year, while they were on the search for a new superintendant....so we know first hand how well the schools ranked against others!
