Thomas the Train Ticket, B&O Museum

WHO HOO!  ALL ABOARD!

Calling all kids!  (Kids of all ages)

Sir Topham Hatt, the Controlloer of Thomas Railways,  will be on hand when you and your kids arrive at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore for a ride aboard Thomas the Tank Engine this weekend (April 25-28) and next (May 2-4).

After your 25-minute train ride, your kids will want to watch the Thomas and Friends videos and enjoy the story-telling; then visit Imagination Station for arts and crafts.  Other themed activities included with your ticket are building with LEGO® DUPLO® bricks, temporary tatoos of Sodor and friends, and a few surprises.

While you're there, explore The B&O Railrod Museum, arguably the oldest and most comprehensive American railroad collection in the world.  In fact, this Baltimore site is considered the "birthplace of American railroading."  It's a great opportunity for you and your kids or grandkids to bring together your memories of playing with trains as a kid and today's phenomena, Thomas the Train

If you're not already well-acquainted with Thomas, take a few minutes to explore the web site. In fact, if your kids or grandkids have not already introduced you to Thomas and Friends, you'll probably have more fun playing on this website than you have since you were a kid playing with your own toy trains.

CLICK ON THE TICKET to order your tickets online or call 1-866-468-7630.  Advance purchase is recommended.

Downtown Baltimore is located just 20 miles from Fort George G Meade and 30 miles from the U.S. Naval Academy, two major landmarks in Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

We have been to many Thomas and Sir Topham Hat displays over the years.  My son, who is now almost 10 loves Thomas.  The anthology of stories is worn and cover tattered.  The ride is worth the wait in line and definitely get a picture of your youngster with Sir Topham Hat.

Margaret- How cute! Railroads were a very interesting part of our history. Nostalgic and prominent. My son , 5, is not into Thomas. Somehow he skipped over a lot of the toddler type of things. He is into super heroes and pokeman and stuff like that. Although he does love legos.

Thesa - I didn't realize it until I learned about this event, but apparently Thomas tours the country.  You might want to investigate the schedule to see if there are any stops scheduled in Oregon in the coming year.

Katerina - Goodness, how did you miss that!  My grandson could recite the name and background story of every car and every character when he was 2.  It was a real lesson for the grown-ups on the ability of such small chldren to learn so much detail.  At 5, he has moved on to super heroes now, but Thomas was an important part of his toddler years.

My little grandson went through a phase where he loved Thomas the Train.  My other one didn't get as involved.  It's interesting what appeals.

I love Thomas the Train and how fun it would be to see this . . . I have an LBG model of Thomas from when my kids were little and I am saving it for them when they have their own kids.

Diane - My grandson was practically obsessed with Thomas & Friends for a while.  Even though he's passed this stage, I have no doubt he will love a Day with Thomas.

Sharon - My daughter-in-law was thrilled to learn about this from reading my blog.  She can't wait to go herself!  I think they're going to make this a birthday outing for my grandson.
