In response to several requests over the past few months, I plan to update my January post, Army PCS Relocation - Real Estate Directory in October. If you'd like to be included, please submit the requested information in the comment section of this post by September 30. At that time, comments will be turned off, and I'll begin collecting information to update the Air Force Directory (October 1-15); Navy Directory will follow (October 16-30).
If you're already listed in the Army PCS Relocation - Real Estate Directory, please note the expanded criteria, because you may need to update your profile page or targeted posts:
1) You must be a member of the Military Relocations Group.
2) You must have at least 10,000 ActiveRain Points. (When there is more than one person who wants to be listed for a single Army post, the number of ActiveRain points will be one of the factors I consider in selecting someone for that slot.)
3) Your profile page must prominently name a specific U.S. Army post within 30 milies of your home/office. (This directory will include only posts within the continental U.S.)
4) You must have at least three localism posts about relocating to or living in the area of this specific Army post, including one posted since August 1, 2008.
NOTE: "Military Relocation" must be in the tags for each post AND name of the specific Army post or military installation must be in the title, content and tags for each of your three qualifying posts AND each post must be included in the Military Relocations Group.
5) You must provide the following information in the comment section of this post:
A) Name of specific Army post, city, and state
B) Links to three qualifying posts
NOTE: I would really appreciate it if you please don't email this information to me or ask for exceptions. If I can streamline the process this time around, I'll be inclined to update the directories more often.
The blurb about you in this directory will be the description on your ActiveRain profile page. If you want your blurb to say something different, please edit the description on your profile page.
As you can probably see, I'm taking a hard line this time in an effort to avoid the time-consuming barrage of emails, special exceptions, complaints and mis-directed requests that I experienced last year. Let's work together to provide this service for military and civilian personnel relocating to the military installations near us, and make their relocation as smooth as possible.
In the end, since it's my blog post, I reserve all editorial rights including the format of my post and selection or exclusion of agents for each military installation. YES, loan officers are welcome to submit a request.
Okay gang, let's get started!

UPDATE SCHEDULE:
Guidelines will be the same for each directory, so you can get a head-start on your targeted posts for updates to the following directories:
October 1-15: Air Force PCS Relocation - Real Estate Directory
October 16-30: Navy PCS Relocation - Real Estate Directory
Cynthia Tilghman (Marine Directory) and James Downing (USCG Directory) will announce in the Military Relocations Group if/when they plan to update their directories.

Margaret - this may be a stupid question but here goes - is this just for army bases or does air force bases count??????? We have Nellis Air Force Base here in Las Vegas, I've worked with many a buyer, seller, renter from the base. I've also worked with those who are in the army and we're deployed to Iraq out of Nellis. If Nellis is not in your directory is there a separate directory for AF Bases??????
Margaret,
Military relocations are a big thing in Tucson, too. Much success!
Mike in Tucson
Mary, No questions are stupid... Perhaps I didn't make that information about the other directory updates clear enough in the first paragraph, and I'll add a schedule at the bottom of this post.
In an effort to streamline the process this time around, I'm doing one Directory at a time because it was extremely confusing when I did this in December-January last year with people ignoring the guidelines and posting their Army post info on the AF or Navy base post, and vice-versa. I'll start collecting info for Air Force Bases on October 1, but guidelines will be the same.
Mike - I've had tremendous response to this. Personally, I've closed two sales for people relocating to Fort Meade. I've probably had 10 or more requests for bases or posts not included on this list and I had to go hunting through ActiveRain to find someone. Military relocation is a wasted opportunity for so many members who don't reach out at all to this customer base!
Hi Margaret,
Yes, I will do a Marine Relocation Directory and will make the announcment soon. Thanks.
I would appreciate being entered into the Army Directory for
Fort Belvoir, VA 22060 However, the USPS ZIP does not reflect the general "civilian" area which would be Alexandria VA 22309
My three most recent and relative posts are
Inlet Cove Lorton Station and Saratoga
I am a member of Military Relocations, have over 140,000 points, Fort Belvoir is in my AR profile, post titles, post content, tags and my posts have been included in Military Relocations. My office is approximately 10 miles from Fort Belvoir.
I do not intend to request positioning in either the USAF or USN Directories,
Karen
I think your relocation directory is brilliant. I wish I were close enough to a military base to be included. GBU!
Hello Margaret: I thought I would resubmit to be current with the update criteria!

Fort Rucker (US ARMY), Alabama
Fort Rucker BAH
Fort Rucker On-post housing Mock Utility Billing
Fort Rucker Area History Walking Tour
Thank you for the consideration! Your doing a great service. If there is anything I can do to help let me know!
Margaret - You were a saint for taking this on the first time and a sweetheart to update it. Thanks!
Margaret..... this has been an excellent idea. I am sure it takes a lot of work. I just never got around to my posts about this in the past. It's something that I need to look into. thanks
Margaret-Your consideration for the Army Directory would be greatly appreciated. If you are breaking it down by base then the Pentagon-Arlington VA, Ft Myer-Arlington VA and Ft Belvoir-Ft Belvoir-VA would be my choices.
Currently I have 230,000+ points on AR and a member of the military relocations group. All of the bases are in my AR profile and my outside blog is www.militaryrelocationnews.com which I think speaks for my committment to military clients.

Thanks again for all the work you do for putting the directory together.
Margaret... I would like to be added for Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
I'm licensed in both Tennessee & Kentucky to assist on both sides of the State line that divides Ft Campbell. I'm also prior Army myself.
