How would you like to drive by a golf course on your way home every day? If you live in Old Crofton, that's a likely occurrence. In fact, I drive past the Par 3 twelfth hole of Crofton Country Club every day on my way home. It's literally a block from my house.
Other lucky Crofton residents live in one of the homes that line the fairways of this golf course or nearby Walden Golf Club.
Even if you don't play golf, you gotta admit it's nice to have the open space to enjoy visually, or more actively by walking or jogging on the cart paths.
Like many Crofton kids, my children grew up playing golf. In fact, my sons literally ran home from school to get their golf clubs and head up to Crofton Country Club. We never had to wonder where they were, because we could always find them on the practice range or putting green - never far from the watchful eyes of adult members.
If you'd like to check out homes in this golf-course community, you can do so at your own pace, as often as you like. Just use this handy link to Crofton Homes for Sale. Then, if you see one online you like, let me know and I'll be happy to show it to you.

Very nice post about Crofton in photos, great idea for showcasing your area.
Margaret: I am not at all a golfer. Only played when required in high school P.E. But even with no love of the sport, I love a perfectly manicured golf course. What great landscape to be able to see everyday. I love your picture too! Looks like a postcard.
I grew up in Mount Vernon, VA. I worked and played at the Country Club there. Sounds I was just like your sons, ran home to grab my clubs and hit the range. That's a beautiful shot of the 12th hole. Who wouldn't want to live around that?
How lucky they are to be exposed to Golf at such a young age. I didn't start playing until I was in my early 20's maybe you would be following me on TV if I had started earlier.
Hi Margaret,
I don't play golf anymore either, however I still enjoy the look and space a golf course lot provides. Thanks for posting, great picture. They should pay you for the publicity!!
Chris Ann - Now that I don't play any more, I enjoy the golf course just because it's so pretty! Thanks for the compliment on the photo
Craig, I LOVE your photo from Tuesday night! If anyone is reading these comments and hasn't seen Craig's picture, go check it out.
Terry - I don't know, I started at 9 and you never saw me compete after high school...
Hal - Yes, you're right... they should! LOL. Actually, I've gotten some nice recognition from my blogging as well as some business, and people do love my pictures.
